Hélène Louvart, AFC

French cinematographer Hélène Louvart (Association Française des Directeurs de la Photographie Cinématographique / French Association of Cinematographers).

Helene was nominated in the Best Cinematography (Millor Fotografia) category for the 2010 Gaudí Awards (Spain) for the film "Petit Indi" from Marc Recha.

As Director of Photography on the 3D documentary film Pina (2011), Helene worked with renown German director Wim Wenders. Pina was selected as the German entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards and was nominated by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for Best Documentary Feature.

For her extensive body of work and artistic excellence, Helene Louvart received The WIFTS Foundation Cinematographer Award in 2012, as well as the best 3D documentary award at Camerimage in 2013 for the movie Pina.

She received the Kamerapreiss in Marburger (Germany) in 2018.

Helene worked also with renown French director Agnès Varda "The Beaches of Agnès (French: Les plages d'Agnès). Agnès won the César Award for Best Documentary Film in 2009.

Also, she worked with Alice Rohrwacher, and shot the italian drama "The Wonders" (Italian: Le meraviglie). It was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or in the main competition section at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, where it was awarded with the Grand Prix. As well "Happy as Lazzaro" won the best screenplay in Cannes in 2018.
